The funeral for Charles E. Philpot will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Liberty Grove Missionary Baptist Church, LaGrange. Pastor Harold O. Warren will officiate. Burial will be in St. Matthews Cemetery.
Mr. Philpot is survived by his wife, Maricela E. Philpot of California; one son, Charles Warren Pearson of Washington, D.C.; his mother, Helen Mae Philpot of LaGrange; three stepdaughters, Lisa Bryant, Thenia Enriquez and Yolonda Newsome of California; three sisters, Carol Stevens of Wilson, Vonda Ashford and Sonya Lewis of Goldsboro; four brothers, Denry Parks of Columbus, Ga., Col. Charles Parks of Yorkstown, Va., Curtis Lee Kornegay of LaGrange and Ricky Davis of Goldsboro; and one granddaughter.
The viewing will be held Friday from 2 until 8 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home and the family will be present to receive friends from 7 until 8. At other times the family will receive friends at the home of Helen Mae Philpot at 503 S. Wooten Street in LaGrange.
