Geneva Johnson Bass, 84, of 210 Covenant Court, died Saturday in Wake Medical Center.
A funeral service will be conducted this evening at 7 in the Shingleton Funeral Home Chapel, 2413 Nash St. NW, Wilson. The Rev. Glenn Hall will officiate. Visitation will immediately follow. Interment will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park 10 a.m. Monday.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother who is survived by three sons, Melvin Bass and fiance, Eileen, of Rocky Mount, Donald Bass and wife, Trudy, of Wilson, and Robert Bass and wife, Charlotte, of Charlotte; three sisters, Evelyn Chase of Snow Hill, Blanche Head of Newport News, Va., and Tinie Lee Hamm of Goldsboro; two brothers, Cornelius Johnson of Snow Hill and Hugh Johnson of Kenly; nine grandchildren, Kyle Bass, Tracey Sinclair, Daniel Bass, Jon Mullins, Carolee Mullins, Christine Lively, Danielle Kerley, Michael Bass and Timothy Bass; and 10 great-grandchildren, Dillon Bass, Bryson Bass, Megan Sinclair, Anthony Chase, Toni Sinclair, Joshua Sinclair, Dakota Bass, Dodge Bass, Baylie Kerley, and Robbie Kerley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edgar Bass, and two grandsons, Anthony Glenn "Tony" Easom Bass, and Robert Stanley "Robbie" Bass Jr.
