HILDA B. JOHNSON

PIKEVILLE -- Hilda Byrd Johnson, 67, of 107 Stone Glenn Road, died Saturday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Maplewood Cemetery in Mount Olive. The Reverend Stephen Nor-ris will officiate.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Wayne County to the late Charlie Burrel McArthur and Hattie Pearl Powell McArthur. She was a 1957 graduate of Duplin County High School.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas McArthur Johnson; one son, Charlie Douglas Johnson, and his wife, Rita Faye, of Pikeville; two foster children, Douglas Ray Golf and John Wayn Golf of Pikeville; one grandchild, Kelly Faye Johnson; and one sister, Mary Gray McArthur King of Princeton.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her brother, Elbert Ray McArthur.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 until 4 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro and other times at the residence.
