The funeral for Brenda Grantham Owens, of 869 Riverbend Road, will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Rosewood First Baptist Church. The Rev. Vernon Braswell will officiate. Burial will be on Wednesday morning at 11 at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Owens was born in Wayne County to Mary E. Stuckey Grantham of Goldsboro and the late Herman Rudolph "Rudy" Grantham. She worked as a waitress with McCall's Barbecue & Seafood restaurant.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children, Jason Todd Owens of the home, Tara Lee Owens of Greenville and Jordan Robert Owens of the home; her brothers and their wives, Herman Craig and Diane Grantham of Jefferson City, Tenn., Michael Allen and Donna Grantham of Goldsboro and Tony Alan and Pamela Grantham of Goldsboro; one sister and her husband, Coneva G. and Wayne Watkins of Goldsboro; and a special friend, Bernice Jackson of Norcross, Ga..
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to and immediately following the service on Tuesday night, and at other times at Mary Grantham's home. 811 Riverbend Road, Goldsboro.
Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
