Eburn Leslie VanHoy, 79, of 508 N. Claiborne St., died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Montgomery County to the late Dewey Leslie VanHoy and the late Lillie Proctor. A veteran of the United States Navy, he worked as a Service Manager at Service Corporation of America.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Rosalind B. Ziccardi officiating.
Mr. VanHoy is survived by his wife, Jackie VanHoy, and daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Clyde Young of Greensboro.
The family will receive friends at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home immediately following the graveside service, and other times at the home.
Flowers are welcome, however, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Pinewood Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 10715, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
