Jacob Allen Hobbs, 26, of 3379 U.S. 117 North, died Tuesday evening.
The funeral will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. The Reverend Bill Cotton will officiate.
Mr. Hobbs was born in Wayne County on November 13, 1978. He was employed with Weaver Roofing Company and attended United In Christ Church in Goldsboro.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Kathy Sillsbury and Keith of Pikeville; his father and stepmother, Jerry Rhodes and Laura of Jacksonville, Fla.; three daughters, Layla Hobbs and Kayla Hobbs of Pikeville and Courtney Hobbs of Rosewood; his maternal grandmother, Sallie Hansberry of Saulston; his maternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Thomas Hansberry and Esther of Greenville; his paternal grandparents, Dan and Iris Cox of Goldsboro; and his fiancée, Susan Bass of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory following the service this evening, and other times at the home of his grandmother, Sallie Hansberry, 240 Antioch Road in Saulston.
