Helen Olivia Bass Jones, 63, of 3113 N.C. Hwy. 222, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Ms. Jones was a native of Wayne County, and a long-time resident of Tampa, Fla.
A viewing will be held Monday from 2 until 8 p.m. The family will receive friends at the Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 423 S. James St., in Goldsboro, from 7 until 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, 4207 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, Fla.
Ms. Jones is survived by three children, Kenneth C. Jones of Stroudsburg, Pa., Veronica L. Jones of Newark, Del., and Angela Jones of Jacksonville, Fla.; five grandchildren; three sisters, Letrice Woodard of Fremont, Lessie Bass of Eureka, Dalphine Sauls Bynum of Stantonsburg; four brothers, Howard Bass, Junius Sauls, James Earl Bass, all of Goldsboro, and Ricky Bass of Angier; 13 nieces, 12 nephews, 16 great-nieces, and 12 great-nephews.
