J. Dwight Kirby, 61, of 516 W. Goshen St., Faison, died Wednesday morning at Duke Hospital in Durham.
The funeral will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Faison United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chad Pullins and the Rev. Henry Swanzey officiating. Burial will be in the Faison Cemetery.
Mr. Kirby was the son of the late Jesse and Mary Denning Kirby and had been employed by Southeastern Outdoors where he was a salesperson.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Cottle Kirby; a stepson, Scott Lane of Faison; one brother, Dr. J. Ray Kirby of Durham; two sisters, Marie Kirby Quinn and Sara Kirby Sutton, both of Warsaw; and one grandchild.
Relatives and friends will be received at the home of Mr. & Mrs. James Cottle, 432 S.W. Center St., Faison.

Tyndall Funeral Home in Mount Olive is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
