James Edward "Eddie" Gurley, 49, of 1076 Antioch Road, died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Gurley was born June 15, 1956 in Wayne County to Jesse J. "Buddy" Gurley and Katie Wiggs Gurley of Goldsboro. He worked with the Goldsboro Milling Company.
A funeral service will be held 6 p.m. this evening at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverends Jeff Jones and Mike Grady will officiate. Interment will be 11 a.m. Monday at Wayne Memorial Park
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Gurley Harvey and husband, Jacob, of Monroe, Tenn.; his son, James E. Gurley, Jr. of Livingston, Tenn.; his granddaughter, Jaylee Harvey; and his brother, Robert Lee Gurley of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends following the service at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the home of his parents, 123 W. Hill St., Goldsboro.
