Arthur Dewey Covington Jr., 63, died Friday at Presbyterian Hospital in Huntersville.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Independence Hill Baptist Church. The Reverends Todd Martin and Tim McCoy and Dr. Bob Hamblin will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends this evening from 6 until 8 at Raymer Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Independence Hill Baptist Church Building Fund or Library Fund, 10220 Eastfield Road, Huntersville, N.C., 28078.
Raymer Funeral Home of Huntersville is serving the family.
