HOOKERTON -- Willie Mewborn, 86, died Monday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at St. Mary Free Will Baptist Church in the Jason community. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, LaGrange.
Mr. Mewborn is survived by his wife, Eliza Suggs Mewborn of the home; two daughters, Vanessa Speight and Eugenia Mewborn of LaGrange; five sons, Percy Becton of Wake Forest, Ervin Mewborn of Havelock, Herman Mewborn of Greensboro, Willie C. Mewborn of LaGrange and Arthur Mewborn of Northview, N.J.; one brother, Paul Mewborn of Trenton, N.J.; one sister, Ora Lee Rouse of LaGrange; and 10 grandchildren.
The wake will be held tonight from 7 until 8 at Connor Memorial Funeral Home.
