ADOLPH SANDERS

The funeral for Adolph Sanders will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Deep Creek Baptist Church, Islandton, S.C. The Rev. Joseph Williams Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Stephens Cemetery.
He died Sunday at home.
A native of Ruffin, S.C., he was the son of the late Malachia and Corrie Bell Sanders and was a graduate of Ruffin High School. He received a bachelor of art's degree from Clafin College in Orangeburg, S.C. He was employed by Wayne County Public Schools and was formerly employed by the Colleton County School District in South Carolina.
He is survived by two sisters, Annie B. Williams (Joseph) of Yemassee, S.C., and Dorothy Youmans of Ruffin, S.C.; six brothers, Malachia Sanders Jr. (Annabell) of Walterboro, S.C., Marshall Sanders (Gloria), Ernest Sanders (Ruby), Joe Sanders and Randolph Sanders (Pauline) of Ruffin, S.C., and John Sanders (Patricia) of Greenpond, S.C., his extended family and best friend, Lavernal Simmons and the Simmons family of Goldsboro; and one aunt and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives and friends.
The viewing will be on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until noon at McIntyre Funeral Home in Goldsboro.
