HUGO -- Mattie Lee Craft Carney, 90, of Hugo, died Saturday, July 16, 2005 at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Rouse Funeral Home in LaGrange. The Rev. Tom Miller and the Rev. Doug White will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, LaGrange.
Mrs. Carney was born in Lenoir County to the late Emmitt and Addie Craft. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James King and Zennie Carney, and a son, Kenneth King. Mrs. Carney was a member of Hugo Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Jimmy King, and his wife, Anne, of Hugo and Leslie Calvin King and his wife, Nancy, of Jacksonville; two sisters, Alma Tilghman of Hugo and Lorraine Herring of Scotland Neck; one brother, Earl Craft of Hugo; one daughter-in-law, Dixie Carter of Mount Olive; and 10 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Rouse Funeral Home. At other times they will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy King, 3255 Hugo Road, Hookerton.
Arrangements are with Rouse Funeral Home, LaGrange.
