Dorothy Likes Holmes, 76, died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Holmes was born in Abington, Virginia, and was the widow of Dobbin Holmes Jr. She retired from Sears and attended Daniels Memorial United Methodist Church in Goldsboro life-long resident of Fayetteville, Mrs. Holmes was the owner and operator of Semloh Stables, where she expressed a great love for teenagers.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home Chapel in Fayetteville. Burial will follow in Cross Creek Cemetery.
Mrs. Holmes is survived by her niece, Martha Wise, and her husband, Danny, of Goldsboro, and several cousins and adopted nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30 until 2 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
