ANNIE McMAHON

Anne Lucille Player McMahon, 87, of 1001 Cross Gate Road, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2005.

She was born October 12, 1917, in Burgaw, N.C., to Robert William and Annie Clara Lane Player.

She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters and their husbands, Judy and Tommy Gibson of Goldsboro, Janice and Jerome T. "Jerry" Funk of Winston-Salem, Susie and Frank Trenor Jr. of Winston-Salem.

In addition to mourn her loss are seven grandchildren, Tom Gibson and wife Angie, Ben Gibson and wife Jaime, Jennifer Crandall and husband Bobby, Michelle Deal and husband John, Tommy Funk and wife Jill, Lisa Hodges and husband Neil, and Brian Trenor; nine great-grandchildren, Conner Crandall, Christian Gibson, Rayce Gibson, Raleigh Gibson, Sierra Hodges, Ethan Hodges, Tori Funk, Caroline Deal, Kaitlyn Deal, and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. McMahon was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an avid gardener and homemaker.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, July 17, 2005, at 1:30 p.m. at Vogler's Funeral Home Chapel on Reynolds Road with Dr. Jeff White, Rev. Donna McClellan, and Father Thomas J. Kessler officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park.

The family received friends and family at Vogler's Funeral Home on Saturday, July 16, 2005, from 7 until 9 p.m.

A special thanks goes to Dr. Lisa Evans, Dr. Thomas Grote, and staff of Forsyth Cancer Center and Hospice. The family request that memorials be made to Hospice and Pallative Care Center, 1100 C. South Stratford Road, Winston-Salem, N.C., 27103.
