MOUNT OLIVE -- Edgar Ralph Wall, 78, of 865 Country Club Road, died Tuesday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
Mr. Wall was a retired employee of the Town of Mount Olive where he was public works supervisor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan and Ada Capps Wall; two brothers, Kenneth Wall and Fred Wall; and three sisters, Dorothy Brown, Louise Young, and Pauline Turnage.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Best Wall of the home; two sons, Ralph J. Wall of Mount Olive and Robert Wall of Faison; four daughters, Bobbie Jean Dixon of Mount Olive, Belita A. Whitman of Goldsboro, Penny W. Holmes of Seven Springs and Jennie W. Daniels of Seven Springs; and 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home with the Rev. James Earl Herring officiating. Interment will be at 10 a.m. on Friday at Maplewood Cemetery.
The family will remain at the funeral home to greet friends following the service tonight, and at other times will be at the residence.
