CAREY A. DUDLEY

KINSTON -- Carey Allen Dudley, Sr. 80 of 2858 Highway 258 South, passed away on Tuesday, July, 12, 2005.

Mr. Dudley served in the U.S. Army Air Corp in WWII. He was a retired farmer and former owner and operator of Dudley's Septic Tank Service. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather and friend to many. Mr. Dudley was a charter member of Southwood Memorial Christian Church, where he held various positions and, after becoming ill, was named elder emeritus.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, July 14, 2005, at Southwood Memorial Christian Church, with the Rev. Richard Vernon and the Rev. Dexter Wasson officiating. Visitation will immediately follow the services, and at other times at the home. Private burial will be held at Pinelawn Memorial Park.

Preceding Mr. Dudley in death are his parents, Clyde and Adele S. Dudley, sisters Catherine D. Buchanan all of Kinston and Georgia Dudley of Black Mountain, NC.

Surviving Mr. Dudley is his loving and dedicated wife of 57 years, Lou L. Dudley of the home, Children Pam D. Oliver and husband Richard of Denton, NC, Allen Dudley, Jr. and Fiancé, Pandora Williams, Georgia D. Holleman and husband Robert M. Holleman all of Kinston. Grandchildren Sandra D. Young and husband Dale of Goldsboro, NC, Jennifer A. Deaver of Concord, NC, Mark E. Deaver, Michael Holleman and Nicholas Allen Holleman of Kinston. Mr. Dudley is also survived by his sisters, Mrs. Irene D. Trott and husband Hal of Richlands, NC and Mrs. Jane D. Ward and husband Norman of Ft. Belvoir, Va. and sister-in-law Georgia L. Powell of Coral Bay, Fla.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to Southwood Memorial Christian Church, 1027 NC Hwy. 58 South, Kinston, NC, 28504.
