Mertie Waters Edwards of 1649 Uber St., Philadelphia, Pa., died Tuesday at Temple University Hospital.
A funeral will be held 12 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Larry Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Old Mill Cemetery.
She is survived by four sons, Jasper, Randolph, and Stepfhon Edwards of Philadelphia, Pa., and Reginald Edwards of Norristown, Pa.; two daughters, Zena Edwards and Shalawn Edwards Brown of Philadelphia, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; her mother, Rossie Waters of Goldsboro; three sisters, Esther (Herman) Lewis of Washington D.C., Barbara Best and Rossie Bell of Goldsboro; two brothers, Eddie (Vicky) Waters Jr. of Dudley and James (Leora) Waters of Charlotte.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 until 8 at Hamilton Funeral Chapel of Goldsboro.
