The funeral for Willie James Dawson Jr. will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries, Bishop C.R. Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mr. Dawson died Monday at First Health Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Johnson Dawson; two sons, Christopher Dawson and Vincent Dawson; one daughter, GiGi Homes; three sisters, Clara M. Hopkins, Betty Allen and the Rev. Gladora Robins; and one brother, James Earl Dawson; and three grandchildren.
Viewing hours will be from 1 until 6 p.m. today at McIntyre Funeral Home.
