DOROTHY A. LIDE
Dorothy A. Lide died Thursday, June 23, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
She was born Dec. 8, 1914, in Alliance, Ohio, and was the widow of Rufus Lee Lide. She had lived in Goldsboro for the past six years and was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Georgia Lide McWilliams, and her husband, Jerry Dean McWilliams, of Goldsboro; one son, James Dee Lide, and his wife, Mara Jean Lide, of Newberry, Florida; and her granddaughter, Dawnelle Evelyn Daniels-Smith, and her husband, Bryan Smith of Raleigh, N.C.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Salem United Methodist Church. The Rev. Neal Wingfield will officiate. The family will receive friends during a celebration dinner following the service.
Burial will be at a later date in Sebring, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, 2706 Salem Church Road, Goldsboro, 27530.
