WARSAW -- The funeral for Michael Gerald Jarman Jr., 17, of 2205 West Wards Bridge Road, will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at KEMBA Headquarters in Warsaw. Pastor Patricia Peterson will officiate. Burial will be in the Devotional Gardens.
He died Monday in Onslow County.
He was a 2005 graduate of James Kenan High School, where he played football and basketball and ran track. He was employed at Wendy's in Warsaw and was in the process of enlisting in the Marine Corps. He loved animals and his goal was to become a veterinarian.
He is survived by his parents, Michael Gerald Jarman Sr. and Linda Smith Jarman of the home; two sisters, Mytisha Jarman and Linda Jarman of Warsaw; his paternal grandparents, Rosa Bell Jarman and Hubert Bryant of Philadelphia; and his maternal grandparents, Roselle Smith and Edgar Glaspie of Warsaw.
The viewing hours will be from 3 until 6 p.m. on Friday at Rhodes Funeral Home in Warsaw.
Relatives and friends will assemble at 233 Community Road at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday.
