NORMAN DANT SR.
RUSHVILLE, Ind. -- Norman Leslie Dant Sr., 66, formerly of Goldsboro, died Thursday, June 2.
Born May 7, 1939, in Laurel, Ind., he was the son of the late Wilbur Norman and Georgia Allen Dant. He served 20 years in the United States Air Force and retired as a staff sergeant in 1976.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Spence Dant; daughters, Denise Preast of Mississippi and Charlene Clarkson of Goldsboro; sons, Norman Leslie Dant Jr. of Goldsboro, Lt. Col. Daniel A. Dant of Colorado Springs, Colo., and adopted son, Daniel William Dant of Rushville; one stepdaughter, Angela Grenda of Bluefield, Va.; 11 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were held Monday, June 6, at 10 a.m. at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home in Shelbyville with Dr. Paul D. Riley officiating. Burial was in Laurel North Cemetery in Laurel, Ind.
