JAMES E. DOVE
DUDLEY -- James Earnest Dove Sr., 72, of 202 Ward Drive, died Thursday in Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Dove was born in Jones County on November 22, 1932, to the late Roy and Mable Rhodes Dove. He was a retired employee for the city of Goldsboro.
A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday at the Jerusalem Freewill Baptist Church in Seven Springs. Elder Anthony Davis Sr. will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Alice Dove of the home; a son, James Earnest Dove Jr. of Mount Olive; four daughters, Linda Joyce Bizzell, Annie Frances Dove, Juanita Dove Johnson, all of Dudley, and Betty Jean Dove of Goldsboro; two brothers, George Roy Dove of Newark, N.J., and Bennie Lee Brunton of Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Lillie Brunton and Margie Bell, both of Kinston; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
There will be a viewing today from 3 until 9 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel of Goldsboro.
