BESSIE COATS
MOUNT OLIVE -- The funeral for Bessie H. Coats, 89, of Norfolk, Va., will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home.
Mrs. Coats died Sunday at Bayside Health Care in Virginia Beach, Va. She was the daughter of the late Eliza Hope and the widow of Cleveland Gardner and David Allen Coats Jr.
Her survivors include one son, George L. Gardner, and his wife, Patricia, of Norfolk, Va.; one daughter, Carol G. Fowler, and her husband, John W., of Virginia Beach, Va.; and six grandchildren and six-great-grandchldren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7 until 9 at Tyndall Funeral Home.
