SUSAN ELIZABETH JENKINS

WILMINGTON -- Susan Elizabeth Jenkins, 75, died Saturday at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Goldsboro and was the daughter of the late Walter Harmon and Susan Rowan Hall Jenkins. She graduated from the High School and College Department of St. Mary's College in Raleigh and from W.C.U.N.C. She received graduate degrees from Rutgers University in New Jersey and the University of Pennsylvania. She taught in public schools in Oakland, Calif., and Princeton, N.J.

Following her retirement, she was a docent at the Princeton University Art Museum and the Louise Wells Cameron Art Museum.

Miss Jenkins is survived by a sister, Lillian J. Dixey of Columbia, S.C.; a brother, Henry C. Jenkins of Titusville, Fla.; and three nieces, one nephew, and several great nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 21, at 2 p.m. at Lebanon Chapel in Airlie Gardens. The Rev. Ron Abrams will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.
