SHELDON R. DUDLEY
COLONIE, N.Y. -- Sheldon R. Dudley, 48, of 1941 Central Ave., formerly of Goldsboro, died Monday in Colonie.
He was born in Wayne County on April 28, 1957, to Bishop Leamon Dudley Sr. and the late Ida Dorothy Dudley.
A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday at Pentecostal United Holy Church in Goldsboro. Bishop Ralph Love and Bishop Harry Cohen will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Mill Cemetery in Goldsboro.
He is survived by his father and step-mother, Bishop Leamon Dudley Sr. and Minister Lucy Dudley of Goldsboro; four sisters, Elder Eugenia Daniels of Fayetteville, Thelma Dudley of Dudley, Minnie Baldwin and Cassandra Quick, both of Goldsboro; two step-sisters, Shirley Shipman of Elizabeth, N.J., and Theresa McIntyre of La Grange; five brothers, Leamon Dudley Jr. of Westfield, N.J., Pastor Larry Dudley of Raleigh, Pastor Geoffrey Dudley of O'Fallan, Ill., Reginald Dudley and Pastor Lamont Dudley, both of Goldsboro; a step-brother, James Hardy Jr. of Clearwater, Fla.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 until 8 at Hamilton Funeral Chapel of Goldsboro. A public viewing will begin at 3 p.m.
