PIKEVILLE -- Rose Evelyn Potts VanTuyl, 63, of 111 Grand St., died Tuesday at her home.

A graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. VanTuyl was born in Duplin County and was the daughter of the late Hugh Norman Potts and Mary Leona Lamm Potts. She was a Home Interiors representative for many years and was a volunteer with the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Wayne VanTuyl; three sons and two daughters, Richard Wayne VanTuyl Jr., Victoria Lynn Gurley, Michael Wayne VanTuyl, Dawn Nicole Goodrich and Norman Edward VanTuyl; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her sister, Lynn Gallagher of Goldsboro; and her brother, Hugh Norman "Raymond" Potts Jr. of Goldsboro.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
