JULIA H. THORNTON
NEWTON GROVE -- Julia Hill Thornton, 90, died Tuesday.
The funeral will be held tonight at 7 at Pleasant Union Christian Church. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Mrs. Thornton was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Thornton, and is survived by one daughter, Sue McLamb of Newton Grove; two sons, Dewey M. Thornton of Durham and Bob Thornton of Dudley; one sister, Naomi Roberson of Newton Grove; and seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the church following the service tonight.
West & Dunn Funeral Home is serving the family.
