NORMA STRICKLAND
DUNN -- Norma Fields Strickland, 70, of the Spivey's Corner community, died Sunday at Wake Medical Center.
The Guilford County native was a daughter of the late John E. and Carrie Kirkman Fields. She was a faithful member of Mt. Elam Baptist Church and retired from Sears as a bookkeeper.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Mt. Elam Baptist Church. The Rev. Doug Bartlett and the Rev. W.H. Calcutt will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Strickland is survived by her husband, Harold M. Strickland; sons, Gary Strickland and Scott Strickland of Dunn; sisters, Arleen Wise of Roseboro, Inez Lemonds of Greensboro and Doris Inman of Tar Heel; brothers, Johnny Fields and Bobby Fields of Tar Heel; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home.
