HAZEL MAE SMITH
Hazel Mae Smith, 90, of 502 Woodrow St., died last Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held this Thursday at 1 p.m. at Elm Grove Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, Pikeville. Bishop Alton Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Old Mill Cemetery.
Her former Sunday school students will serve as pallbearers and carry the flowers.
She is survived by one sister, Flora Martin of Washington, D.C.; one sister-in-law, Naomi Sasser of Selma; nephew, Thomas Johnson of Columbia, Md.; adopted grandson, Tony Harris of Goldsboro; and two nieces, Donna Sasser and Ellen Yelverton of Fremont.
The viewing hours will be from 3 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, and the family will be present from 7 until 8 to receive relatives and friends.
At other times the family will be at the home of Tony Harris, 226 S. Spence Ave., Goldsboro.
