MOUNT OLIVE -- Daniel Jason Waller, 82, of 2175 Garner's Chapel Church Road, died Saturday at Lenoir County Memorial Hospital in Kinston.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 8 p.m. in the chapel of Tyndall Funeral Home. The Rev. Bob Fussell and the Rev. Paul Rose will officiate. Interment will be on Friday at 10 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, near Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 p.m. until service time, and at other times at the homeplace.
Mr. Waller was a retired farmer and cattleman and had served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a member of the Snow Hill Free Will Baptist Church.
He is survived by one daughter and three sons, Phyllis Waller Moulton and her husband, David, of Miller's Creek, Robert Waller and his wife, Johnnye, of Beulaville, Richard Waller and his wife, Libby, of Mount Olive, and Dwight Waller of Memphis, Tenn.; one sister and brother-in-law, Marjorie Waller Phillips and Norwood Phillips of Warsaw; one sister-in-law, Ruth B. Waller of Mount Olive; a dear friend, Mae Lee Kennedy of Mount Olive; and seven grandchildren, Andrew Moulton, Brian Moulton, Chris Waller, Amie Bostic, Melissa Bostic, Jason Waller, and Jennifer Waller; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Roberts Waller; his parents, Daniel Stephen and Lola Smith Waller; two brothers, William E. "Bill" Waller and Stephen Allen Waller; and two sisters, Nannie Lou Waller Holt and Lorena Waller.
