LLOYD MOZINGO
Lloyd Hilton Mozingo, 86, of 103 Wayne Court, died Tuesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
The funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Frasher officiating. Burial, with military honors, will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mr. Mozingo was a native of Wayne County and was the son of the late Foy Daniel Mozingo and Norma Langston Mozingo. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, was the former owner and operator of Farmer's Cleaners, and was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel Jackson Mozingo; four daughters and their husbands, Tillie and Mac Barnes of Roanoke, Va., Shelia and Danny Cobb of Pikeville, Hope and James Ham of Goldsboro, and Wanda and Randy Winders of Pikeville; one son, Hilton Mozingo, and his wife, Renee, of Myrtle Beach, S. C.; one sister-in-law, Vera Hinkle of Kansas; one brother-in-law, Herman Pate of Goldsboro; 11 grandchildren, Christy Unroe, Amanda Taylor, Megan Barnes, Michelle Odom, Jennifer Parks, Chelsey Mozingo, Derrick Ham, Scott Ham, Jeannine W. Williams, Natalie Winders and Brock Winders; and three great-grandchildren, Alan Odom, Alanya Odom and Jackson Taylor.
Mr. Mozingo was preceded in death by a sister, Dollie Pate, and three brothers, Foy Mozingo, Bruce Mozingo Jr. and Bobby Mozingo.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
