RESSER PILKINGTON
Homegoing services for Resser Braswell Pilkington will be held tonight, April 25, 2005 at 7 in the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro with the Reverend Dennis Pollock and Reverend James Corbett officiating. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Progressive Church Cemetery in Princeton.
Mrs. Pilkington was born in Johnston County on August 17, 1919, to the late Nelson and Mary Jane Fleming Braswell. She was a member of Riverside Free Will Baptist Church in Princeton and was retired from the Johnston County School System.
She is survived by two daughters, Patsy Pilkington Howell and husband, Billy Ray, of Goldsboro and Frances Pilkington Penny and husband, Butch, of Garner; one son, Donnie Pilkington and wife, Sherry, of Clayton; one brother, Wilton Braswell and wife, Vonnie, of Swansboro; and one sister, Dixie Hall and husband, Hubert, of Goldsboro; eleven grandchildren, Stephen Howell and wife, Heather, Becky Price and husband, Tracy, Jodi Trapp and husband, Ernst, Ashley Pilkington, Paris Penny, Charlene, Lisa, Sue, Dean, Debra, and John Pilkington and wife, Crystal; twelve great grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Israel Pilkington; one son, Thurman Pilkington; and one daughter, Janet Carol Pilkington.
The family will receive friends following the service tonight at Howell Funeral Home, and other times at the residence Billy and Patsy Howell, 1809 Westover Drive, Goldsboro.
