ROSA ALSTON
Rosa Lee Alston, fomerly of 808 N.Claiborne St., died Wednesday at Sunbridge Nursing Home in Mount Olive.
The funeral was held Saturday at noon at Goldsboro Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Mrs. Alston is survived by daughters, Irene Alston, Sally Exum and Eleanore Sims of Goldsboro and Wanda Truzy of New York; five sons, J.D. Alston, Amos Alston Jr., Robert Alston and Nathaniel Alston of Goldsboro and James Alston of New York; three sisters, Diane Newsome and Willie Williams of Goldsboro and Virginia Leviner of New York; two brothers, Johnie Atkinson and Christopher Atkinson of Seattle, Wash.; and 24 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family received friends at 406 Beal Street.
The viewing hours were from 2 until 8 p.m. on Friday at Lightner Memorial Funeral Home.
