JOHN REID
John Solomon Reid, 81, of 408 Brickyard Road, Fremont, died Tuesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at St. James Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, Fremont. The Rev. James Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mr. Reid is survived by his wife, Rosa Reid of the home; a son, William T. Reid of Delran, N.J.; a daughter, D. Annette Reid of Richmond, Va.; a brother, Larry Reid of Washington, D.C.; four sisters, Theresa Howell, Annie D. Smith, Dollie R. Greenfield and Jacqueline Grant of Goldsboro; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and three special nephews, Ashley E. Scott of Layton, Utah, Patrick Scott of the home and Donald Scott of Wilson.
An inspirational wake will be held Sunday from 7 until 8 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel in Goldsboro.
