MARVIN S. POLLOCK
Marvin Seevance Pollock, 82, died Monday at his home.
The funeral will be held Friday at 4 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating.
Mr. Pollock was born in Wayne County to the late Willie Leroy Pollock and Unity May Hill Pollock. He had worked as a supervisor with Borden Manufacturing for over 25 years. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was awarded many awards and medals.
He is survived by his son, Marvin Stanley Pollock, and his friend, Doris, of Leland; his daughters, Kathy Malcolm and husband Bobby of Pikeville and Sheila Hargrove of Dudley; five grandchildren, Donna Deans and husband Randy of Pikeville, Diana Rana Clay and husband Sean of Goldsboro, Tasha Minter and friend Jeff of Texas, Nicole Phillips and husband Shane of Mount Olive, and Susan Ward; eight great-grandchildren, Jessica and Jennifer Malcolm, Mark, Tracy, and Stacey Deans, Sean and Morgan Clay, and Ethan Best; three brothers, Leonard Pollock of Dudley, Donald Pollock of Mount Olive and Jimmy Pollock and wife Carolyn of Dudley; three sisters, Mavis Suggs of Goldsboro, Marie Sykes of Mount Olive and Jean Bennett and husband James of Mount Olive; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Roland Pollock and Ronald Pollock.
The family will receive friends at Seymour Funeral Home from 2:30 until 4 p.m. on Friday, and other times at the home of Jimmy and Carolyn Pollock, 1893 Old Mount Olive Highway.
