MICHAEL M. TAYLOR
Michael Mumphord Taylor, 57, of 211 Timberline Oak Drive, died Wednesday at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
He was born in Nash County to the late Russell and Lorene Ezzell Taylor and was married to Linda Price Taylor. He worked at Booney's Hot Dog Stand, had been a member of the Rocky Mount Moose Lodge #938 since 1969 and became a member of the ENOCO Legion in 1974.
A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Pineview Cemetery in Rocky Mount. The Rev. David Hayes will officiate.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Michael Taylor Jr. and Chadwick Taylor of Rocky Mount; one daughter, Kathy Register of Rocky Mount; three stepsons, Shaun Gurley and wife, Kim, of Pikeville, Jeff Gurley of Pikeville and Tommy Gurley of Goldsboro; one brother, Timothy Taylor of Carlton, Texas; and six grandchildren, Brandy Taylor, Daniel Woodcock, Randy Taylor, Nichol Taylor, Amber Gurley and Hayden Gurley.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7:30 until 9:30 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home of Goldsboro, and at other times at the residence.
