DOROTHY AYCOCK

Dorothy Marie Hill Aycock, 58, of Faison, died Wednesday, March 30, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

She was employed with Duplin County Schools and was the First Lady of the Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly, Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, Incorporated and International.

She is survived by her husband, Bishop Chester Lawrence Aycock Sr. of Faison; three children, Chester Lawrence Aycock Jr. of Faison, Claron Lemont Aycock (Chelsea) of Wilson and Jamille Aycock of Faison; four grandchildren, Chester Lawrence Aycock III, Shavayette Antoinette Blackwell, Déja Cherise Aycock Ahizion Najee Dontrell Wilson; six sisters, Nancy Greene of Faison, Bette Jones (Billy) of Mount Olive, Carolyn Gomez of Fayetteville, Edith Adkins (Timothy) of Fayetteville and Vonnie Neyhart (Robert) of Ogden, Kan.; six brothers, Alexander Hill (Beulah) of Faison, Calvin Hill of Faison, Edwin R. Hill Jr. (Malissa) of Dudley, Charles Hill of Fayetteville, Augustus Hill (Vanessa) of Fayetteville and Peter Hill of Carthage, N.Y.

An Inspirational Wake will be held on Sunday from 7 until 8 p.m. at St. Mark Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ, 700 W. Ash St., Goldsboro.

The funeral will be held on Monday at 2 p.m. at St. Mark Church. General Bishop MacDonald Moses will officiate and General Vice Bishop Alton A. Smith will deliver the eulogy.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Garris Funeral Home in Mount Olive.
