NELSON ALLEN
MOUNT OLIVE -- Nelson Lee Allen, 77, of 276-A Edwards Store Road, died Sunday.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West & Dunn Funeral Home in Newton Grove. The Reverends Frank Beasley, Joe Baker and Ted Jones will officiate. Burial will be in the Phillips Family Cemetery on Edwards Store Road.
Mr. Allen was the son of the late Alexander and Estelle Johnson Allen.
He is survived by his wife, Emma Frances Allen; three daughters, Gail Cheek of Yorktown, Va., Mary Batts of Greensboro and Agnes Burns of Woodbury, Ga.; three sons, Nelson Lee Allen Jr. of Mount Olive, David Allen of Middlesex, Va., and John Allen of Whispering Pines; two brothers, Earnest Allen and Parlie Allen of Four Oaks; and 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7 until 9 at West & Dunn Funeral Home.
