JACK ROSE SR.
Jack Catledge Rose Sr., 74, of 1611 E. Mulberry St., died Saturday.
A native of Wayne County, he was the son of the late Hubert and Alice Catledge Rose, Sr. and was married to Jean Daughtry Rose. Mr. Rose was the owner and operator of Warehouse Furniture and was a member of Goldsboro Elks Lodge 139 BPOE and the First Christian Church.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Rose is survived by his daughter, Jo Ann Rose Grant; sons, Jack Rose, Jr. and wife Mary Jane and Jeff Rose and wife Lou, all of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Melissa Smith, Amanda Lucas, Josh Rose, Robert Rose, Nicholas Rose, Jay Rose and Jenny Kornegay; great-grandchildren, McKayla Smith, Sawyer Lucas, Austin and Tyler Kornegay.
He is also survived by his sister, Martha Rose Watson, of Naples, Fla., and his brothers, Hubert Rose Jr. of Havelock, Travis Rose of Jacksonville, Robert Rose of Pikeville, Nick Rose of Goldsboro and Tom Rose of Fayetteville; his mother-in-law, Mattie Daughtry of Goldsboro; and his brother-in-law, D.C. Daughtry of Goldsboro.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Dr. Fred Clarke officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Flowers are welcome or memorial donations may be made to First Christian Church, 1609 E. Ash Street, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
