MOUNT OLIVE -- Bertha Mae Thornton Perry, 87, of 5574 Mount Olive Highway, died Wednesday.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of West & Dunn Funeral Home. The Rev. David Jarman will officiate. Burial will be in the Thornton Family Cemetery.
Mrs. Perry is survived by two sons, Allen Gene Thornton of Mount Olive and William Henry Thornton of Newton Grove; two sisters, Mettie Lee Jordan and Eloise Barnes of Wilson; and 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at West & Dunn Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Allen Thornton, 5580 Mount Olive Hwy.
