ANDY JENKINS
LAGRANGE -- Anthony "Andy" Duwayne Jenkins, 46, of 796B Parkstown Road, died Sunday at his home.
Mr. Jenkins was born in Wayne County and worked as a cabinet maker with Spencer Yachts in Manteo. He was a member of Coker Memorial Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
A celebration of his life will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Coker Memorial P.F.W.B. Church with the Rev. Byron Murray officiating.
He is survived by his mother, Glennie Smith Jenkins of LaGrange; his father and stepmother, Buddy and Sheila Jenkins of Hollywood, Md.; two brothers, John Lundy Jenkins and wife Laurie of LaGrange and Greg Bonnichsen and wife Trudi of Cottage Grove, Oregon; one daughter, Michelle Elizabeth Jenkins of Elizabeth City; one stepdaughter, Jessica Elkins and husband Derek of Franklinton; and five grandchildren. He is also survived by his aunts, Linda Sutton, Vicky Jordan, Judy Parrott and Joan Keel; his uncles, A.P. Smith, John Wayne Smith and Claude Jenkins; and three nephews.
Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Duwayne Jenkins; his grandparents, Johnnie and Mina Smith and Lundy and Lorena Jenkins.
Memorial donations may be made to Coker Memorial P.F.W.B. Church, 150 LaGrange Road, LaGrange, N.C., 28551.
The family will receive friends at the home of John and Laurie Jenkins, 1501 Hood Swamp Road, following the service on Wednesday night.
Arrangements are with Seymour Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
