WILLIE ALLEN MOORE JR.
Willie Allen Moore Jr., 85, of 308 Saddlewood Drive, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 19, 2005. He died at his home after a lingering illness.
Mr. Moore was born in Johnston County and was the son of the late Willie Allen Moore Sr. and Lola Rhodes Moore. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy for 53 years.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Don Sauls and Rev. Jimmy Earp officiating. Interment will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park with military honors.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy Brown Moore; his sons, Willie Ray Moore of Raleigh and Kenneth Lee Moore and wife Elaine of Millbrook, Ala.; his daughters, Wilma Moore Sauls and husband Billy of Morrisville, Dorothy Moore Fields of Princeton, and Linda Moore Page and husband Allen of Willow Springs; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and his sister, Hilda Moore Holloman.
Mr. Moore was preceded in death by a son, Dwight Moore; a grandson, Willie Ray Moore Jr.; a granddaughter, Karen Sauls Maynard; a sister, Grace Moore Ballree; and his brothers, Clarence Moore and David Moore.
The family would like to give special thanks to Kelly Graham, Suzanne Allison, and all of the staff of Community Home Care and Hospice.

The family will receive friends tonight at the funeral home following the service and other times at his home, 308 Saddlewood Drive, Goldsboro.
