LINWOOD HOBBS
FAISON -- The funeral for Linwood "Duke" Hobbs, 56, will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m.. at Poplar Grove Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Willie Alford will officiate. Burial will be in Cobbs Cemetery.
Mr. Hobbs died on Feb. 9 in Maryland.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonnie M. Hobbs; one daughter, Charnell Ball of Norfolk, Va.; his stepmother, Maggie Morrisey of Warsaw; three brothers, Johnnie Ray Morrisey of Warsaw, Allen Morrisey of Washington, D.C., and Dwight Morrisey of Manassas, Va.; two sisters, Ruby Hatch of Tennessee and Marzella Morrisey of Warsaw; two aunts, Martha H. Wolfe and Sadie Bell Faison of Faison; and three uncles, Calvin Hobbs of Warsaw and Kenneth Hobbs and Dennis Hobbs of Faison.
The family will receive friends at the home of Martha H. Wolfe, 661 Faison Hwy., Faison, and the funeral procession will line up there at noon on Wednesday.
Garris Funeral Home in Mount Olive is serving the family.
