LUCILE J. BRYANT
Lucile Joyner Bryant, 79, of 1604 Boyette Drive, died Tuesday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
The funeral will be held Sat-urday at 1 p.m. at Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Head-quarters on Slocumb Street. The Rev. Arthur Evans will officiate. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Bryant was born in LaGrange to the late Allen Lee Joyner Sr. and Georgia Mae Wooten Joyner.
She graduated from Winston-Salem State Teachers College and taught school in Wilson and Wayne counties. She was a member of Zeta Chi Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.
She is survived by one daughter, Thea Bernadyne Bryant Horton of Raleigh; one sister, Dorothy Joyner of Goldsboro; and two grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
Mrs. Byrant was a member of Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 318 Denmark St., and the family will receive friends there on Friday from 7 until 8 p.m.
