RUDENE SCOTT
Rudene Moore Scott, 74, of Selma, died Tuesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
The funeral will be held 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with the Rev. Terry Dennis officiating. Burial will be in Selma Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Scott was born in Johnston County to the late Allie and Ethel Eason Moore. Her husband was the late Melvin Scott. She was a member of Branch Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Her survivors include one son, Melvin "Butch" Scott, Jr. of Clayton; her stepmother, Ila Mae Moore of Selma; one brother, Joe Moore of Selma; two sisters, LaVerne Edwards of Pine Level and Sandra Hassel of Ahoskie; one grandson and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6:30 - 8 p.m.
