ESTHER Q. HOOD
GREER, S.C. -- Esther Quinn Hood, 93, mother of Evelyn Hood Schmid of Goldsboro, died Monday at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
A native of Spartanburg County, Mrs. Hood was a daughter of the late Charles W. and Mary L. Bryant Quinn and the widow of Alvin B. Hood. She was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church and a retired employee of J.P. Stevens and Company.
Surviving, in addition to her daughter, are a son, Alvin Quinn of Greer, and two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by Dr. Ralph Carter. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at The Wood Mortuary, and other times at the home of her son.
