HAZEL GARRIS PRICE
SEVEN SPRINGS -- Hazel Garris Price, 87, of 397 Atlas Price Road, in the Pricetown Community, died Saturday morning in Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A funeral service will be held today at 5 p.m. in the chapel of Tyndall's Funeral Home in Mount Olive. The Reverends Anne Simms and Gerald Garris will officiate. The family will receive relatives and friends following the service, and at other times at the home of Edna and Robert Shelton Grady, 4655 N.C. 903 N., Seven Springs.
Committal and interment will be Monday morning at 11 in Pineview Cemetery.
Mrs. Price was a retired homemaker and community seamstress, also having been employed by the Glam-O-Rama Cleaners in Mount Oilve. She was a long-time member of Zion United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Edna Price Grady and husband, Robert Shelton Grady of Seven Springs, Edith Rose Price and her friend, Lloyd Keen of Mount Olive; three grandchildren, Michele Grady Spence and husband, Scott of Snow Hill, Sabrina Grady Rouse and husband, Kent of Clayton, and D. L. Keen of Mount Olive; five great-grandchildren, Ray Scott Spence, Katherine Spence, Elizabeth Spence, Sienna Rouse, and Natalie Rouse; a brother and three sisters-in-law, the Rev. Gerald and Marjorie P. Garris of Dudley, Ruby Lee Garris of Deep Run, and Annie Laurie Price of Seven Springs.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Millard Price; her parents, Ed and Polly Williamson Garris; a brother, Marvin Garris; and two sisters, Opal Garris Davis and Sallie Garris Holmes.
The family welcomes flowers, while memorial gifts may be made to Pineview Cemetery Care Fund, c/o Frazier Hardy, 2078 Zion Church Road, Mount Olive, N.C.0.
