DIANE L. JOYNER
The funeral for Diane Lane Joyner, 46, of 108 Greystone Drive, was held on Friday night at 7 in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The Reverends Jackie Hamm and Karl Bartlett officiated. Burial was on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Pineview Cemetery.
Mrs. Joyner died Thursday morning at Pitt County Memorial Hospital.
She was a native of Wayne County and was the daughter of the late Jasper and Glenda Carroll Lane. A son, Thomas Joyner, preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son, Jasper Joyner of Goldsboro; one daughter, Rebekah Joyner of Goldsboro; one sister and brother-in-law, Kathie and Ricky Swinson of Goldsboro; her ex-husband, Roy Joyner of Goldsboro; two grandchildren; and a special friend, Edwin Bass of the Nahunta Community.
The family received friends at the funeral home immediately following the service on Friday night, and at other times at the home of Ricky and Kathie Swinson, 205 Mobile Circle, Dudley.
