HELEN L. MOORE
Helen Lane Moore, 87, of 3424 Surry Lane, died Tuesday at her residence.
The funeral will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Jordan's Chapel United Methodist Church in Burgaw. The Rev. William Pearsall will officiate. Burial will be the church cemetery.
Mrs. Moore was a native of Craven County and was a graduate of East Carolina University. She was the daughter of the late Hugh and Lola Kilpatrick Lane and was married to the late James P. Moore Sr.
She is survived by two sons, James P. Moore Jr., and wife, Judy, of Goldsboro and Hugh H. Moore of Jacksonville, Fla.; one grandson, Patrick Moore of Carolina Beach; and two step-grandchildren, Bob Lane of Hendersonville and Richard Lane of Wilmington.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and at other times at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. James P. Moore Jr., 1812 Evergreen Ave., Goldsboro.
The body will lie in state at Jordan's Chapel United Methodist Church in Burgaw on Friday morning from 9:30 until time for the service.
